Ancient Rome

 

If one could go back in time, I don’t think he or she could last so much as 5 minutes. In the past, life was very hard in general, and very bloody in certain years. Out of curiosity, I would like to have lived in Ancient Rome during the command of one of the Five Good emperors, simply because it was a quiet time in the history of Rome.

A Better World

Women know how to manage problems better and resolve them in a more effective way than men. On the another hand, they are mothers, and I presume they don't like to play as soldiers, so there would be fewer or no wars. It's possible that different countries would help one another so that the contrast between the richest and poorest would be less than now. Medical research would be better, and it's possible that scientific research would be too. I think all this would be better, but I could be wrong.

Alien Life, Why not?

I've always thought that if life can exist on our planet, then why can't it exist on others. Considering the diversity of life on Earth, any life on other worlds could be even more different and odd. Probably, the first life that we meet will be in microorganism form. To think in the aliens with a human form, can be very funny but isn't nor credible. If humanity lasts long enough, perhaps it is only a matter of time before we find any form of alien life.

The Rain

I like rainy days. In Spain, the days are usually very sunny. It is a country that, except for the north and west, does not rain a lot. Staying at home to see the rain, reading a book or playing with your pet, could be a relaxing and cozy way to spend an afternoon. But spending the day on the streets when it's raining, is not so much fun. The problem is when the rain is particularly heavy. Then it seems as if you were in a shower. 

The Giants

The church was named Santa Maria del Mar, and it is a basilica that resides in the neighborhood of the Born in Barcelona.

It is surrounded by nice and narrow streets with plenty of bars, shops and museums such as the Picasso museum, which is not too far from there.

I went to this basilica because there was a presentation to the public of the giants and their new clothes.

The giants are an important and traditional element in Catalan popular culture, and they go dancing in the streets during festivities throughout the year.
